(N/A) $(1)$ The Symplast pathway is the system of interconnected protoplasts. In this pathway,water travels through the cytoplasm of cells and moves from one cell to another via plasmodesmata.
$(2)$ Root pressure is the positive pressure that develops in the xylem sap of roots of plants. It is a result of the active absorption of mineral ions from the soil by the root hairs,which lowers the water potential inside the roots,causing water to enter from the soil and move into the xylem.
